PISITAKUN KUANTALAENG
Pisitakun Kuantalaeng is a Thai artist based in Porto, Portugal. He graduated from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2009, then began his career path in the art industry ever since. His work has been exhibited in Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) in Thailand, Yayasan Biennale Yogyakarta in Yogyakarta, Gwangju Museum of Art in South Korea, A Leste in Portugal and other different venues in Thailand and abroad. Starting out with a focus on the concept of art, Pisitakun’s practice was shifted due to the political issues in his own country. His practice explores how history is recounted through time by bringing it into question and trying to find the solution to its problem.
